FAQ

What are minimum quantities for production?
It depends on the item. For screen prints, min. charge is for 10 prints (we can do less, but charge for 10 prints).
Other items may be very few, hundreds, or thousands. Best to contact us & ask if unsure.
With most items higher quantities will mean a lower price per unit, whereas adding more colours to a print will add to the price.

WHAT FORMAT DO YOU REQUIRE THE ART WORK IN?

Ultimate Printwear run the latest Adobe Creative Suite design Software, so we can take most formats.
It’s usually better to send the original working file, rather than an exported image such as PNG or JPEG.

No need to do the colour separations yourself, in most cases it’s better if we do them from your
composite artwork.

If you have specific print colours, please specify them when you provide the artwork.
We use Pantone Coated range of colours.

 

BEST FORMATS:

-VECTOR FORMAT- such as PDF or EPS. Generally t-shirt prints do not need to come from vector graphics, but
a lot of promotional product prints do. Vector graphics are greatas they can be scaled up in size without any loss
in quality.

If supplying Vector files please outline / convert to curves all fonts and embed all placed files or provide them as well.

-RASTER FORMAT- such as PSD / PNG / JPEG. Just keep the resolution high (300pi+). If you zoom into your image
and it begins to pixelate and get fuzzy around the edges, it is probably not great to print from. Artwork supplied
at 72dpi (web quality) is generally not very good to print from.

If supplying complex multi coloured artwork created in Photoshop, please supply the original working file with all
working layers unflattened – often this can be a great help when doing colour separation.

WE CAN ALSO WORK WITH:

-WORD DOC- but we find the placed images in these are often low resolution – so send quality files for all placed images as well.

-HARD COPY- on paper. We can scan your artwork. There may be extra costs involved in preparing from your hard copy.

WHAT SIZE TO MAKE THE ARTWORK?

Standard screen print, print size is up to A3 vertical or 380 x 280mm landscape, with larger prints up to 380 x 450mm available
for a bit extra. It’s generally best to think about what size the graphic looks best at.
Either size your graphic to the size you want or send your art and specify the kind of size dimensions you want.
We can apply our expertise to choose a print size if you prefer.

HOW DO I SHOW YOU WHERE I WANT IT ON THE SHIRT?

You can just explain in words if it’s easier or give a measurement (eg, 8cm below the collar at the back of the neck).
On our resources page you will find a garment template you are welcome to use.
If supplying image mocked up on a garment template, please also send the art on its own, at actual size, without
garment behind for quality.

HOW DO I GET THE ART WORK TO ULTIMATE PRINTWEAR?

If it’s under 15mb, email should be fine, see contact page.
Internet upload is another way, try Dropbox for files up to 100mb.
Visit our shop with your USB drive, CD, DVD or hard copy ( by appointment) or you can also post or courier these items.

CAN ULTIMATE PRINTWEAR DESIGN FOR ME?

We sure can, we have our own Graphic Designers on hand to create whatever graphics you require.

ARE ALL YOUR GARMENTS GOOD QUALITY?

We do not distribute bad quality garments as part of our basic recommended catalogue and prefer to sell you a good quality product
wherever possible.
Our suppliers have extensive and growing ranges of garments, many styles we may not have used before or had feedback on.
We encourage customer feedback on garment quality.
We can usually source cheaper thin tees at your request if you are looking to save a little money. Likewise, if high quality
garments are required and budget is bigger than tiny, let us know and we will recommend premium quality garments
to suit.

CAN WE SUPPLY OUR OWN APPAREL?

This is usually fine. Ultimate Printwear is happy to supply a solution for your print needs, but cannot take
responsibility for supplied garments where unpredictable reactions and burns (for example) may occur. Note these events
are rare. Keep in mind we have a great range of apparel at modest pricing. It is often cheaper, faster and easier to order
stock from us, than hunt around for shirts yourself.

CAN WE SUPPLY OUR OWN MUGS OR PENS FOR PRINTING?

No, we can only print the mugs and pens we supply. This is the case for most of the promotional goods we supply.

ARE ALL THE PRODUCTS YOU SUPPLY IN THE CATALOGUES ON THE WEBSITE?

Not even close. We’ve listed and catalogued some of our most popular and common items and styles but there is so much
more we can do for you.
We have an impressive roster of wholesalers and importers we buy from. so if there is a product you require, do contact us.
There is a very good chance we can source it for you. Large minimums may apply with some items (But dont be afraid to ask).

HOW DO I PLACE AN ORDER?

We prefer orders and all important information via email or other written format. You can also come to our shop to order (by appointment)
We need to know:
– products / styles / colours
– quantity and size breakdown
– print positioning
– artwork details
– due date
– pick up or delivery ( in which case, address)
– your contact details
and any other relevant details you can think of to get the job done the way you want it.

HOW LONG WILL MY ORDER TAKE?

It depends on the item.
standard t-shirt / textile screenprint order is up to 2 weeks ( longer appreciated), with rush turnaround available.
Other items may be done faster, and some may take longer so its best to ask us.

ARE ALL ITEMS AVAILABLE AND IN STOCK?

Most items are ordered from our suppliers as required, we keep just the most common black and white t-shirt styles in stock.
Our suppliers can be out of stock of an item or a size, although it is uncommon.

CAN I ORDER ONLINE?

Yes, its so easy.
We have catalogues of selected items online to help you decide on styles. We can discuss all your needs and questions via email or phone.
Then simply email your order, make a deposit into our bank account and we’ll get started.
Once complete we can have your order delivered to you.

WHAT FORMS OF PAYMENT DO YOU ACCEPT?

We require min 50% deposit to order, with balance prior to or upon dispatch.

CAN YOU DELIVER TO A MUSIC VENUE / FESTIVAL?

Yes. Just let us know the date, address and merchandise delivery instructions, with some contact details for the receiver, we can do this.

As so much of what we do is custom produced, with various factors that can influence price, we prefer to quote each job for you.
